Ultra-compact autonomous IoT

Fit a complete connected system into a few square centimetres.

Battery, short- and long-range connectivity, geolocation, sensors, power and security on one compact board.

Design of compact, robust connected electronics where every millimetre counts: radio architecture, power, sensors, geolocation and cybersecurity, with testing, certification and industrialisation anticipated from the design stage.

Industrial control

Control with precision in the most demanding environments.

Real-time analogue and digital control loops, Ethernet, web server for diagnostics and maintenance.

Design of an industrial control system combining measurement and real-time analogue or digital control loops, Ethernet connectivity and a web server for diagnostics and maintenance. A high-robustness enclosure designed for aggressive and heavily disturbed environments.

Power electronics

Move energy both ways, from low to high voltage.

Intelligent energy management between a second-life battery and a high-voltage DC bus, with protection, telemetry and digital control.

Development of a complete bidirectional DC/DC converter for Evolium Technologies, a Valais-based specialist in lithium-ion battery reuse. The system manages energy exchange between a second-life battery and a high-voltage DC bus. The project covers system architecture, conversion-stage integration, the design of the power and control boards, real-time firmware, protection functions, high-voltage acquisition, telemetry and digital control.

Laboratory & biosciences

Evolve the electronics of a scientific instrument.

High-precision motion control, ultra-stable light-source control, and power-supply stages optimised for EMC requirements.

Redesign of Sortivo™ embedded electronics for Bionomous. Key control, lighting and power-supply subsystems were reworked to expand functionality and improve overall robustness. Regulatory and industrialisation requirements were integrated from the design stage, with support for the assembly partner.

Energy monitoring & control

Measure, control and optimise energy close to where it is used.

Three-phase metering, versatile I/O, Modbus communications and NFC configuration in a compact controller.

Development of a multifunction device for energy monitoring and control: up to four three-phase groups measured, configurable inputs and outputs, Modbus RTU communications, wireless connectivity and NFC commissioning. A compact platform designed to connect sensors, equipment and local control.

Ultra-low-power BLE gateway

Turn a serial link into an ultra-low-power BLE gateway.

nRF52832, custom serial protocol, dual peripheral/central role and firmware updates over BLE.

Development of an elongated electronic board for a specific mechanical integration. Hardware and firmware were jointly optimised to achieve very long battery life. The gateway translates a proprietary serial protocol into BLE, enabling direct communication with a phone or device-to-device connectivity through its dual peripheral and central role. Firmware updates are delivered wirelessly over BLE.

Building automation

Bring field I/O together in one robust remote module.

RTD, 0–10 V I/O, differential pressure, 230 VAC switching and energy metering over Modbus RTU.

Development of an IEC 61010-compliant remote input/output module for building automation and control. It combines RTD measurement, 0–10 V inputs and outputs, a differential-pressure sensor interface, 230 VAC switching and energy metering. Installer-friendly connectors simplify wiring and maintenance, while the IP54 enclosure protects the electronics in the field.

Temperature measurement & simulation

Measure and simulate a resistive sensor with complete transparency.

Transparent insertion, offset or simulated value over Modbus RTU, with no common ground or polarity constraints.

Development of a compact, modular DIN-rail interface compliant with IEC 61010 and installed between a resistive temperature sensor and its measuring equipment. It can monitor the sensor transparently, apply an offset or simulate a value controlled over Modbus RTU. Operation without a common ground or polarity constraints, NFC configuration and firmware updates over Modbus simplify integration and maintenance.

Multi-network long-range IoT

Push the limits of remote telemetry and control.

nRF9151, DECT NR+, LTE-M/NB-IoT and GNSS for resilient telemetry and control devices.

Development of an IoT platform around the Nordic nRF9151, combining cellular connectivity, GNSS positioning and DECT NR+. Designed for Massive IoT, this non-cellular 5G standard enables long-range, self-organising and self-healing private mesh networks that can reroute around a failed node, without relying on an operator for local communications. A scalable foundation for telemetry, control and large connected infrastructures.
